Obituary of Judith C. Hill

Judith “Judd” C. Hill (Lord) of St. Paul passed peacefully on Sunday, May 15, 2022, surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Des Moines, IA in 1941 and lived her 80 years to the fullest. In 1961 she married John Hill, together they raised their family of four children in Minneapolis. In 2018 she married Rochelle, her life partner of over 30 years. She worked in the Chemical Health field for more than 40 years and continued to do so into her last days. She counseled and was an advocate for so many, especially women struggling with addiction. Judd’s gardens were awe inspiring and brought joy to all who walked past them, if you were lucky to catch her weeding she was happy to share her wisdom and even some flowers. She loved to travel, especially road trips, and often took long bike trips with her treasured friend Cynthia. Judd spent most of her summers at her cabin enjoying kayaking, swimming, boat rides, watching wildlife from the deck, outings to the Hole in the Wall and teaching everyone who visited how to fish and bait their own hook. A lifelong passion of hers was politics, her belief that all people should be treated equally fueled that passion. To know her was to love her. Preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother and beloved son Jorge. Judd is survived by her wife, Rochelle Hamilton, her children, Shannon Hill (Cathy) Jennifer Kearney (Terry) and Peter Hill. Her siblings Connie, David and Stephen. Grandchildren Aaron, Lucas, Adam, Andy, Collyn, Quinn, Madeline, and Hannah. So many friends and extended family members and her little Boo-Cat. A date for a Celebration of Judd’s Life will be announced as soon as scheduled. Details available at future date. Correspondence can be sent to 833 Maryland Ave W. St. Paul, MN 55117.
