Denqueay King

Obituary of Denqueay Avion King

Denqueay Avion King, 43, passed away on December 23, 2023, in Richfield, MN; she was born December 18, 1980.

Denqueay (aka: Quako, Quick, Denny and ‘Q’) was a self-taught artist and keyboard musician and regularly created original music to share with family and friends. Denny also loved to draw either her own creations or upon request. Her favorite foods were fried chicken wings, barbeque ribs, fish (catfish and tilapia), pizza, and white cake; she also had a big appetite for candy, especially chocolate candy bars.

Although, Denqueay experienced hardships throughout the years, she was finally in the process of changing her life around for the better, with the assistance of staff (and support from growing friendships with house mates) at Amana Home Care, in Richfield, MN; she was able to develop a program that consisted of counseling, therapy and other self-healing measures; she was looking forward to the progress that she was going to experience in the very near future.

She is preceded in death by Mother Martha Jean King who died in May of 2019;

She is survived by Father, Twain Else, Chicago, IL; Brother, Tomun Alan King, Los Angeles, CA; Maternal Grandmother Katie M Johnson; Aunts, Sherry, Linda, and Akira; and Uncles, Kenny and Amargio all of St. Paul, MN. Additionally, Denqueay is survived by numerous Great-Aunts; Great-Uncles; and Cousins.

Although Denqueay’s family would have loved to witness her achievements, we know that she is well now. We love you and miss you dearly for now and for always.
