Obituary of Beverly Jean Randall

Beverly Jean Randall (Harding) (1940–2023)

Beverly Randall, age 82, of Eden Prairie, MN (formerly of Farmington and Falcon Heights) passed peacefully in the company of her family on 09/17/2023. Beverly was born on October 8, 1940 in St. Paul, MN to Charles and Marie Harding. She attended St. Andrew’s Catholic Elementary School and graduated from Murray High School in 1958. She continued her education at St. Catherine’s University and Mankato State and in later years at Inver Hills Community College (Paralegal degree) and Hamline University (BA).

On August 26, 1961, she was united in marriage to James J Randall.

She worked as an Executive Assistant at Comserv during the breakthrough years of computers. She held various positions in government at the House of Representatives in St. Paul and the Dakota County Judicial Center in Hastings. She held two positions at Universal Cooperatives (registering chemicals with the EPA and Executive Assistant within the agricultural supplies division).

Bev grew beautiful flowers, enjoyed being with friends, and loved spending time with her family. She cherished attending all her daughters’ events throughout their childhood and continued with her grandchildren. Baking chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies and playing games of Sorry were some favorite activities.

Beverly enjoyed volunteering. She served at St. Michael’s Catholic Church (Farmington) in various roles, Como Park Japanese Garden and Conservatory supporting tours and events, St. Joan of Arc choir and hospice, Mother Bear Project (knitting), and as a reading aide at Chelsea Elementary.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and brother Walter Harding and is survived by husband James; daughter Lisa (Jeffrey) Vik, grandsons Austin, Nathan, and Keaton; daughter Cynthia Randall; daughter Nancy (Christopher) Anderson; daughter Natalie (Cael) Sprute, granddaughter Claire, grandson Grant; brother Robert (Patricia) Harding, numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior on Friday, September 29 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4537 3rd Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55419. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will follow. Beverly’s ashes will be interred in a private ceremony.

Memorials are preferred to  Alzheimer's Association or Grace Hospice.
