David, the son of John and Dorothy (Brandli) Bjork was born on June 28th, 1964 in Omstead, Minnesota. David graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1982. Over the years David held many positions, David worked in the food industry for the majority of his life but ultimately later in life he found the field he absolutely loved, he served as a business loan banker with US Bank.

David met the love of his life who later became his wife and the mother to their beautiful family Silke, while he was stationed in Germany. Together they welcomed 3 Beautiful children into this world and called Eight more their own, in twenty-five years of fostering children their house was always filled. David and Silke’s caring and loving heart showed no bounds, they always placed the needs of others before their own. One of the ways they showed that was by opening their home to those in need. David and Silke committed themselves to helping children that didn't have anywhere else to go, over the years they fostered and adopted multiple children. They ended up growing their family to a staggering number of eleven children.

One of David's many passions in his life has always been cooking; he longed to open his own restaurant. David wanted a place where people could get together and share great memories and conversations. While living in Akeley, Minnesota that dream came true. David owned and operated his own restaurant until they moved to Owatonna, Minnesota. Later in life, David pursued one of his other passion’s with two of his sons, teaching them the game of Baseball. For many years David coached and umpired Christian and Keenan, he always made it a point to never miss a baseball game.

David's Faith in God is unmatched, while living in Forest Lake he found his second calling; helping people. The best way he did that was through his Church. He served as a board member for 8 years at his church (Maranatha Assembly of God) he also served as a leader of the men's ministry assembly.
