Obituary of Patricia Lee Olmstead
Patricia Lee Olmstead age 82, passed away surrounded by family after a courageous fight with Alzheimer's disease on February 11, 2024, in Blaine, Minnesota. Patricia was born in St. Paul on May 31, 1941, to Alfred and Elizabeth (Fern Culhane) Forrette. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1959. She married David Olmstead on August 26, 1961. They spent most of their married life in South Minneapolis. She retired as an associate for Target Corporation. Her most important role was her devotion to her children. She had a heart of gold. Pat loved traveling, the outdoors, fishing, bowling, bingo and mostly spending time with her family. Patricia is survived by her daughter Sandra (Walter) Antony, sons David (Lisa Villcheck), Craig (Elizabeth), and Jeffrey (Megan) Olmstead. Grandchildren and Great grandchildren Justin (Jasilynn Nelson and Ryder) Antony, Katlin (Ben and Lena) Jensen, Steven (Hope and Isaac) Olmstead, Christine (Brandon Walker) Olmstead, Miles Dumont, Sawyer Dumont, Andrae Heeren, Abigail (Mark, Charlotte, and Sierra) Belcourt, Samantha Russell, Dyllon, Lexus and Mercedes Olmstead. She was preceded in death by husband David, parents Alfred and Fern, brothers John (Jack) and James Forrette. The family wishes to thank Edgewood Memory care in Blaine and Allina Hospice for your loving care of our very special Mother. Visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M. at Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 5, 2024. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the chapel. Interment to follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
