Wally grew up in Robbinsdale, MN. He entered the US Air Force and was stationed in Hawaii from 1950 to 1954. On leave for his father’s death, he met the love of his life, Dolores. She joined him in Hawaii and they were married there on April 4, 1953. Upon returning to Minnesota, Wally worked various jobs until he landed at West Side Volkswagen, where he was the Parts Manager for the remainder of his career, before retiring to enjoy the “good life”. Upon retirement, they returned to Hawaii many times. Wally enjoyed spending time with his “girls,” grandsons, and outside “puttering” in the garage and yard. We will remember him always as willing to lend a helping hand with babysitting, working on house projects and yard work. His body is at rest and he is rejoicing with his Lord and Savior.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Peace Lutheran Church, 4512 France Avenue North, Robbinsdale, MN, 10:00 a.m. visitation; 11:00 a.m. Service; followed by lunch. Private interment at Fort Snelling. Memorials to Peace Lutheran Church.
