Born March 9th, 1924 “Graduated to Heaven “ January 31st, 2019
Survived by loving wife of 73 years, Bernice, brother Donald, Minneapolis, children Mary/Don Robinson, Atlanta Georgia, Tom/Judy Holton, Hugo, Karen/Kevin Armstrong, Duluth Barb/Kurt Anderson, Rapid City South Dakota 14 grandchildren and 23 great grand children.
Preceded in death by parents, Dick and Vera, children David, and Sally/Craig Marshall.
He held bachelor and master degrees from the university of Minnesota, served in the Navy and was a salesman for the majority of his working career.
He lived a full and happy life with his faith and family always front and center. He was a constant role model for showing appreciation for others in his life. It wasn’t uncommon for him to tell Bernice he loved her and appreciated her at least 10 times per day.
Singing in church choirs and family gatherings gave him great joy. He shared his passion for woodcarving, magic and clowning freely with friends, family and strangers alike. He will be remembered for his contagious smile, happy disposition, an endless supply of lighthearted quips, and common practice of complementing others, especially the ladies for their “pretty smiles”.
As reluctant as he was to exit this party on earth, he was ready to leave at the end and jubilant in the fact that he would get to meet those special to him including his savior Jesus and those who had already departed, especially his children David and Sally.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, February 8th at Calvary Church, 2120 Lexington Avenue, Roseville, Minnesota. Visitation 10:00 AM, Service 11:00 AM.
