Donald J. Pagelkopf
Age 83, of Minnetonka, MN, passed peacefully on a warm and moonlit night, in the company of his loving son, Matt Pagelkopf, in Hopkins, Sunday, June 24, 2018.
Don was born to John and Evelyn Pagelkopf, December 8, 1934, in Chaska, MN. Graduate of Hopkins High School, and U of M EE. Served in the US Army Signal Corps in Germany/Austria. Worked at Control Data designing scientific supercomputers.
Survived by wife Doris, daughter Sheila (Christopher) Cooke and grandson Ben LeGeros, son Matt (Nancy) Pagelkopf , sisters Dianne Lenzen and Joan Holasek, wonderful nieces, nephews grandkids, and cat.
Faith in God, a family he adored, love for the church, community service, justice for all humankind, and love for fishing and nature filled Don’s life. He will be fondly remembered as a gentle, wise and loving soul, generously giving of his time, talent, and friendship. Don will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Both Visitation, 6-7:30 PM, Wednesday, June 27; and Memorial Service, 11 AM, Thursday, June 28, will be held at Edina Community Lutheran Church, 4113 West 54th Street, Edina, MN 55424.
Memorials preferred to Park Nicollet Struthers Parkinson’s Center, Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, or ECLC Foundation.
